About this page

This is a plain-English summary of how we work commercially, written so you can assess us before a call. It is not the contract. The signed engagement agreement governs, and your legal team should read that document rather than this page. We are not lawyers and nothing here is legal advice.

Rates

What we charge

Published, because a number that only appears after two discovery calls is a number that moves depending on how much budget you admit to. For market benchmarks and how these compare to hiring in-house, see the SaaS SEO pricing guide.

Authority Magnet engagement tiers and what determines the price
TierMonthlyWho it fits, and what sets the number
Foundation$5,000Seed to Series A, in market with traction. Fixed price. One category, one market.
Growth$10,000 to $15,000Series A to B. Position in the range is set by content velocity, link volume and technical depth.
ScaleFrom $15,000Series B+, multi-product or multi-market. Quoted against a scoped program.
Consulting$3,000 to $6,000You have a marketer and need the roadmap, not the hands. Audit, strategy, monthly direction.
One-off audit$4,000 to $8,000Technical, content or AI-visibility audit as a fixed-scope project. Credited against the first month if you continue.

Prices are per month in US dollars, excluding any local taxes you may owe in your own jurisdiction. We review rates annually and existing clients keep their agreed rate for at least 12 months from signing.

Scope

What the fee covers

The most common source of agency disputes is a vague scope line. Here is ours, in both directions.

Included in every retainer

No separate line item, no surprise invoice
  • Strategy and roadmap. Intent mapping, prioritization and quarterly replanning.
  • Technical audits and guidance. Findings, prioritized fixes and implementation specs your engineers can act on.
  • Content briefs, writing and editing. Production is included rather than billed per article.
  • Earned link acquisition. Outreach and digital PR at the volume agreed for your tier.
  • AI search measurement. Prompt set, baseline and ongoing tracking across seven engines.
  • Conversion work. Every page we ship carries a defined next step.
  • Reporting and attribution setup. Dashboard, CRM field configuration and monthly review.
  • All tooling. Our licenses, not yours.

Not included

Quoted separately, or your side
  • Engineering implementation. We specify; your developers ship. We can quote for implementation if you have no capacity.
  • Paid media spend and management. Different discipline, and we do not run it.
  • Design and brand work. Beyond page structure and layout guidance.
  • Your own software subscriptions. CMS, analytics, CRM.
  • Translation and localization. Quoted per market when multi-geo is in scope.
  • Paid link placements. We do not buy links, at any budget, on any brief.
  • Video, podcast or event production. Outside what we do well.

Billing and payment

Nothing unusual here, which is the point. These are the terms we apply to every client without negotiation, so you are not comparing a bespoke arrangement.

  • Invoiced monthly in advance, on the first working day of the month, for that month's work.
  • Payment due within 14 days of the invoice date.
  • The first invoice is due before work starts. It covers month one. There is no deposit on top.
  • Accepted methods: bank transfer, credit card, or Wise. Card payments carry no surcharge.
  • Currency: US dollars by default. GBP, EUR and CAD available on request, fixed at the rate on the invoice date.
  • Late payment: we will chase politely twice. If an invoice passes 30 days overdue we pause delivery until it clears, and we will tell you before we do.
  • Taxes: we invoice as an Indian entity, so no US sales tax or UK VAT is charged. Reverse-charge or withholding obligations in your jurisdiction are yours to assess; your finance team should confirm the treatment.
Rate protection

Your agreed rate is fixed for at least 12 months from signing. If we raise rates generally, existing clients are given 60 days' notice and the new rate applies at their next annual anniversary, never mid-term.

Commitment

Length, notice and pausing

We do not use contract length to hold clients. If the work produces, you will stay for better reasons than a signature.

Contract length, notice and pause terms
SituationWhat appliesPractical note
Minimum termNoneMonth to month from day one.
Notice to cancel30 days, written, either sideWe finish and hand over anything in flight during that month.
First 30 daysExit with no noticeIf it is clearly wrong early, we will not invoice you for a notice month.
PausingUp to 90 days, once per yearRoster slot held. Rankings soften while paused.
Recommended horizonSix monthsNot contractual. It is how long compounding needs to read clearly.
On cancellationFull handover includedDocumentation, research, dashboards and credentials, at no extra cost.
The honest caveat on pausing

A three-month pause usually costs more than three months of progress. Positions soften, competitors keep publishing, and link momentum stops. We will say this when you ask to pause rather than just processing the request, and then we will process it.

Scope changes

Programs change. The question is whether the change costs you anything, and you should never find out on an invoice.

  • Free, and we just do it: reprioritizing the roadmap, swapping one planned page for another, changing which keywords we target, adjusting reporting, extra calls during a difficult month.
  • Quoted before any work starts: adding a product line, adding a market or language, materially raising content volume, taking on implementation your engineers would normally do, a site migration.
  • Never applied retroactively. No invoice increases without written agreement in advance. If we did work outside scope without asking, that is our mistake and we absorb it.
  • Downgrades work the same way as cancellation. 30 days' notice to move to a lower tier, effective the following month.
Accountability

What we commit to, and what we refuse to promise

An agency that promises outcomes it cannot control is telling you something about how the relationship will go later.

We commit to

  • A reply within one working day
  • The agreed deliverable volume, every month
  • Reporting on schedule, without chasing
  • A senior operator on every call
  • Telling you early when something is not working
  • Crediting any deliverable we fail to ship

We will not promise

  • Rankings by a specific date
  • A traffic or revenue figure
  • A fixed number of AI citations
  • Immunity from algorithm updates
  • Results without your technical fixes shipping
The delivery credit, specifically

If we commit to eight pages and ship six in a month, the value of the two missing pages is credited against your next invoice. You do not have to ask, and we raise it before you notice.

Ownership and intellectual property

Short version: you own what you paid for.

  • All deliverables transfer to you on payment of the invoice covering that work. Page copy, blog content, technical specifications, keyword research, strategy documents and reports.
  • We keep no license over your material, beyond the case-study right below, which requires your approval anyway.
  • Our methods stay ours. Frameworks, internal tooling, prompt sets and templates remain our property. You are free to keep using anything we taught you; you are not buying the toolkit itself.
  • Third-party assets are licensed to you. Where a deliverable includes stock imagery or licensed data, we pass the license through and tell you its limits.
  • Case studies need written approval. The default is silence. If you approve one, you sign off the exact figures and wording, and you can ask us to take it down later.
  • Your data stays yours. Analytics, CRM exports and call recordings are used for your campaign and nothing else. We do not aggregate client data into products.

Confidentiality and data handling

We routinely see roadmaps, revenue figures, CRM data and sales recordings. Treating that carefully is table stakes.

  • We will sign your NDA rather than insisting on our own paperwork.
  • Confidential by default whether an NDA exists or not. Your product plans, figures and internal problems do not leave the engagement.
  • Least-privilege access. We ask for the narrowest permissions that let us work, and we tell you exactly why each one is needed.
  • Named individuals only. Access is granted to specific people on our team, never to a shared login.
  • Credentials revoked at offboarding. We confirm in writing when access has been removed at the end of an engagement.
  • Subprocessors disclosed. If a tool we use will hold your data, we tell you which and why.
  • Data deletion on request. Ask, and we delete what we hold, keeping only what tax law requires us to retain.
On AI tools

We use AI in research, drafting and monitoring, and we say so plainly. Your confidential material is not put into consumer tools that train on inputs. If your policy restricts AI processing of your data, tell us at kickoff and we will work within it.

Your side

What we need from you

These are obligations in both directions. Engagements that underperform usually stall on the second row rather than on anything we did.

Client responsibilities during an engagement
WhatWhenWhy it matters
Analytics and Search Console accessWeek oneNothing can be measured or baselined without it.
A technical decision-makerOngoingFixes sitting in a backlog for a quarter is the most common cause of a stalled program.
Sales call recordings or an hour with salesWeek twoThe best keyword research comes from here, not from tools.
Content review within five working daysOngoingVelocity is most of what makes SEO compound.
CMS and staging accessWeek twoSo we can publish without a queue.
CRM visibilityMonth oneRequired to attribute trials and pipeline to pages.
A named point of contactThroughoutOne person who can approve and unblock.
If these slip

We will raise it on the monthly call rather than quietly working around it, because the results will suffer and you deserve to know why. Persistent access or review delays are the one situation where we may recommend ending an engagement early.

Exclusivity, conflicts and the roster

We cap the number of active clients. That is partly a quality decision and partly what makes the commitment below possible.

  • No direct competitors. While your engagement is active we will not take a company competing with you in the same category and market. This is written into the agreement.
  • Adjacent is not competing. Two SaaS products serving different categories are not a conflict. If a case is genuinely borderline, we ask you before accepting the other company.
  • The restriction ends when the engagement does, 30 days after your final month. We do not claim a category indefinitely.
  • No poaching, either direction. Neither party solicits the other's team during the engagement or for six months after.
  • We do not subcontract your engagement. Specialists on our team do the work. Your campaign is not resold to another agency.
FAQ

Commercial questions

What procurement and finance teams ask before signing.

Request the full agreement
What are Authority Magnet's payment terms?
Invoices are issued on the first working day of each month, in advance, and are due within 14 days. We accept bank transfer, credit card and Wise. The first invoice covers the first month and is due before work begins. There is no setup fee and no deposit.
Is there a minimum contract length?
No. Engagements run month to month with 30 days' written notice on either side. We ask you to plan for six months because that is how long compounding takes to show clearly, but we will not hold you to it contractually.
Can I pause an engagement instead of cancelling?
Yes, for up to 90 days with 30 days' notice, once in any 12-month period. Your slot on the roster is held. Worth knowing that SEO decays during a pause: rankings soften and competitors keep publishing, so a three-month pause usually costs more than three months of progress.
Who owns the content and work you produce?
You do. All content, page copy, technical documentation, keyword research and strategy documents transfer to you on payment of the invoice covering that work. We retain no license over your material beyond the right to reference the engagement in a case study, and only with your written approval.
Can we be named in your case studies?
Only if you agree in writing. The default is that we say nothing. If you do agree, you approve the exact figures and wording before anything is published, and you can ask us to remove it later.
What happens if we need to change scope mid-engagement?
Small adjustments within the agreed tier cost nothing and we just make them. Anything that materially changes volume, such as adding a second product line or a new market, gets quoted before work starts. We will never increase an invoice without written agreement first.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not refund completed work, because the deliverables transfer to you and remain useful whether or not you continue. If we fail to deliver an agreed deliverable in a month, we credit that portion against the following invoice. If you are unhappy in the first 30 days, tell us and we will end the engagement with no notice period and no further invoice.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, routinely, and we will sign yours rather than insisting on ours. We treat your product roadmap, analytics, CRM data and commercial figures as confidential by default whether an NDA exists or not.
Do you work with competitors in the same category?
No. While an engagement is active we will not take a direct competitor in your specific category and market. This is a commitment we make in writing, and it is one reason the roster is capped.
What currency do you invoice in, and are there taxes?
US dollars by default; we can invoice in GBP, EUR or CAD on request. We are based in India and invoice as an Indian entity, so no US sales tax or UK VAT is charged. Depending on your jurisdiction you may have a reverse-charge or withholding obligation, which your finance team should confirm.
Who actually does the work?
Mohammad leads every campaign and is on every call. Specialists handle technical implementation, content production and outreach. We will tell you who is working on your account. We do not resell your engagement to another agency.
What are your service commitments?
We reply to messages within one working day, publish the agreed deliverable volume each month, report on schedule, and tell you early when something is not working. We do not commit to rankings or traffic figures on a date, because nobody controls search engines and any agency promising otherwise is either choosing meaningless keywords or preparing an excuse.

Want the actual agreement?

We will send the engagement agreement and a scoped quote before you commit to anything. Your legal team can mark it up; we are not precious about our paperwork.
